About DCMcCroskey Loves the Community
With an upbringing based in Christian values, Demetria has the heart of a true servant leader and vessel of God. Born and reared by her village which included her grandparents, parents and a host of relatives, in a rural area of Murfreesboro, TN called “Shiloh”, Demetria quickly learned the value of spirituality, and believing, hoping and trusting in God.
She has been blessed to be a part of multiple organizations that work closely with the community such as Habitat for Humanity, Room in the Inn, Greenhouse Ministries, the Mary Parrish Center for Domestic and Sexual Violence, Hillsboro High School, American Baptist College as well as her home church Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church. All of these platforms have given her both experience and opportunity in community organization and theological praxis. All of the aforementioned organizations have encouraged her Christian faith and help her to be more Christ-like daily.
